In September, my friends and I wanted to go on a vacation together. The intent was, besides getting away, to start a new tradition: go somewhere new, each year, together. Side fact: Me and these girls have not lived in the same city for almost 10 years now and for the past 4,5 years not even in the same country. But we have known each other for such a long time, and of course we have been traveling together before on an irregular basis, so honestly for me it doesn’t matter where we go, as we have so much fun together. However, Kathi found these cute little beach houses located right on the beach in the Netherlands, very close to The Hague, and we all instantly fell in love with the place just by looking at the images, which is why we quickly settled on this being our destination for starting our new tradition.
We transported ourselves to The Hague by car from Germany, and brought our own food, drinks, games and cleaning supplies. It was a very simplistic setup. Each morning we went down to the sea jumped in for a starter, and after that had a long lasting breakfast session, followed by a long walk along the beach or a run in the dunes. In the evening, of course, we cooked our own food and played some board games.
