JUST A FEW HOURS AND A FERRY RIDE AWAY…
…from Denmark lies a beautiful destination called Kullen (or in swedish, Kullenberg). Kullenberg is an 8km long mountain characterized by wild and dramatic nature with its rough cliffs, animal life and the ocean washing in big waves from all sides. At the foot of Kullenberg a little town called Mölle is situated.
Back in November, my mom and dad invited the entire family to experience this great nature reserve on the occasion of their silver wedding. First, we drove directly to the tip Kullaberg, where the lighthouse is, ate our homemade ryebread-sandwiches and then went for a long walk alongside the ocean and cliffs. After that we returned to Mölle and checked into Hotel Kullaberg, a beautiful hotel right in the picturesque habour of the town, which has been carried on in the very old-fashioned way since 1875. When entering this place, you do not where to look first, and you instantly feel like going on a treasure hunt uncovering this place rich history.
Mölle breaths calmness, some sort of escape from the rough nature right around the corner. Here you can also go for a walk and look at all the beautiful housings, or you can visit one of the many small ceramic stores, especially Mölle Krukmakeri offers a beautiful setting and delicious pizzas in between all their ceramics. I am sure Mölle has a lot more to offer, if not any it offers you the feeling of being at ease, as if time stand stills.
Kullaberg, Mölle and Hotel KullaBerg made the perfect combination of these kind of getaways I like to enjoy with my family and friends. Fresh air, photogenic nature and good food in authentic surroundings. Look forward to returning to Kullen.
Below you find a blend of all my camera captured during this weekend. Enjoy!
There is absolutely no doubt, that I have not yet seen enough of lies right in front or next to our own little country. This trip was hopefully just one out of many, and for this year the goal is to explore more of Scandinavia, especially Sweden, which I have paid very little attention to so far.
